Riggs Park

Also known as Lamond-Riggs, Riggs Park benefits from two Metro stations – Fort Totten and Takoma – as well as the K6 and E2/E3/E4 lines. Joggers, bikers and outdoor enthusiasts have opportunities to enjoy recreational locations such as Fort Circle Park’s hiking trail, Lamond and Riggs Road playground and the Metropolitan Branch Trail. The neighborhood is also emerging as a vital village as new franchise restaurants, commercial buildings, apartment buildings and retail are in various stages of the development process. Riggs park is located at the District’s northeastern border and is bounded by Riggs Road NE to the south and east, Eastern Avenue NE to the north, with a western boundary including Blair Road NE, Kansas Avenue NE and North Capitol Street NE.
