Michigan Park

Michigan Park, possibly DC’s best kept secret, is just north of Brookland and the Brookland Metro station and home to Providence Hospital. Full of bungalows, ramblers and craftsman homes, the neighborhood boasts beautiful sprawling green spaces and education and religious institutions. Located in northeast Washington, Michigan Park sits southwest of the Maryland border, south of Riggs Park and east of Woodridge.

Red Maples with bright red leaves line the streets of the neighborhood north of South Dakota Avenue, giving the area a bright red hue in the Spring and Summer. Brookland’s bustling 12th Street runs directly into southern Michigan Park.
